  • Vintage Sugar & Creamer Set, German Porcelain, Colorful Multi Floral Pattern CZ11, Colditz Fine Porcelain, CP mark, (Discontinued)
  • Made in: Germany - GDR
  • Vintage: 1970's - 1980's
  • Details:  A gorgeous set of sugar and creamer from a very fine porcelain house, Colditz.  This set features many different types of flowers scattered all around a bright white background.  The bottom third of both pieces is not smooth but rather has a ribbed pattern which adds to the beauty of the set.  Both pieces are stamped on the back with the Colditz "cp" logo and: "Made in German Democratic Republic 59".  Based on the back stamp we were able to date these plates from between 1970's to the 1980's.  We don't know the name of this pattern, possible it was not named, however, Replacements.com shows it as CZ11.  Beautiful for Mother's Day either at the table or as a gift.  Excellent hostess gift.  Pretty on any Spring or Summer table setting.

The gold rims are also in excellent condition.  Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can't accept returns.  Please remember these are VINTAGE and ANTIQUE items, they are NOT new, every effort has been made to show any scratches, wear  and imperfections.

Colditz is a small town in the district of Leipzig, in Saxony, Germany. It is known for Colditz Castle, as well as White Colditz clay (coincidentally, same clay used by the famous Meissen factory).  In 1804 Thomsberger & Hermann established a ceramics factory.  In 1969 the company changed names to VEB Porzellancombinat Colditz, due to the communist regime having opened a porcelain factory years before with the VEB name, we guess they were incorporated, but unsure what actually happened.  After the fall of the Berlin wall, Colditz was privatized again, but unfortunately  they went bankrupt in 1998.
