Handcrafted by our team of master artisans, each Bear is individually dyed to capture the iconic verdigris patina that has graced Lady Liberty for generations. Exclusively sculpted for this Bear by a local artist, the torch, crown, and tablet faithfully recreate the enduring emblems of freedom that have inspired millions around the world. Raised high in its paw, the torch symbolizes enlightenment and the guiding light of liberty. Upon its head rests Lady Liberty's crown, whose seven rays represent the seven continents and seven seas, proclaiming that the promise of freedom belongs to all people. Tucked beneath its arm is a tablet inscribed with July 4, 1776; the date that marked the birth of a nation founded upon the enduring pursuit of liberty. Completing this extraordinary tribute, the paw pad is embroidered in radiant metallic copper, recalling the brilliant finish of Lady Liberty when she first rose above New York Harbor, and adorned with the historic dates 1776–2026 and the Bear's unique edition number in honor of America's Semiquincentennial.
